On Sunday, October 15 the Wood Buffalo Regional Library opened their doors to celebrate Canada 150.
From noon till 4:30pm over 2,500 people attended our celebration. 10 games inspired by each of our unique provinces and territories proved to be a lot of fun for our younger generation. Canadian themed crafts and face painting were also popular.
One of the highlights was the 'Odd Lot Puppetry Company' performing their original show 'Canoe Coyote' 4 times throughout the celebration. 'In Motion' also entertained and provided interactive opportunities with hula hoops and other props. Cotton Candy, Popcorn, Pizza and drinks were available to the crowd. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Community Foundations of Canada for their generous support of this event. The community came, they celebrated, they had fun Canadian style, EH!!
