Description

Restoring and displaying the Hiller 360 helicopter.

With the volunteer help of many Yukoners, we retrieved a 1950 Hiller 360 helicopter from a mountain ridge 140 kms south of Old Crow Yukon. The aircraft had been engaged in the Federal Government Topographical Survey of 1950-52 when it suffered an engine failure on take off and was substantially damaged. This is one of the first helicopters to work in the Yukon and it is by far the oldest existing helicopter in the territory. We have been successful in sourcing all the parts for this rare, obsolete machine.
