Through this Winnipeg 2017 proposal NEARC Inc. not only plans to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary of Confederation next year, but it strongly takes this as a great opportunity to celebrate this historic moment by bringing peoples from different walks, faiths, races and cultures together and bridging the gap amongst us. NEARC Inc. takes this as a chance to reconcile our heartedness and move cohesively encouraging all Canadians to contribute to our communities in an approach that will foster a greater sense of belonging while creating a long lasting legacy at the present and for future generations.
NEARC Inc. strongly believes in partnership with like-minded organizations where appropriate. One of the key proposition of our Winnipeg 2017 is bring together leaders from Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal/Immigrant Communities and initiate a dialogue in more respectful and meaningful way and making it beyond Canada Day 2017 celebration. NEARC Inc. would like to take this historical moment to positively utilize and liaise to build vibrant and healthy communities with the broadest possible engagement of all Canadians, including Indigenous peoples, groups that represent our cultural diversity, active involvement of youth through various forums, and targeting official language minorities.
