Did you know more than 31 million Canadians participated in Canada 150 activities last year? We’re proud to say our Alliance 150 members hosted more than 3,000 of those initiatives across the country, focusing on youth engagement, environment, inclusion and diversity, reconciliation, and the future of Canada.
As 2017 drew to a close, we asked our Alliance members what our own future could look like. We’re pleased to share now that the Alliance will continue to serve as an active network promoting action, engagement and impact around the issues that matter in Canada, using the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a guiding framework while also drawing on our collective experiences from the country’s sesquicentennial.
We’ve started by pivoting our name to Alliance 2030, referencing the year the SDGs aim to be implemented worldwide, and by curating a monthly newsletter (this one!) that highlights how each of the Goals are relevant in a Canadian context.
We’ll continue to stay in touch as we work behind the scenes to update our brand and digital platform to reflect this new focus. Tell us how your work connects to the 17 goals by updating your subscriber profile, or reply to this email to share more. If you are no longer interested in hearing from us, you can unsubscribe to this newsletter at the bottom of this email.
We look forward to sharing more with you soon,
The Alliance team
